Can Weflow replace Gong entirely?
Yes—if your core requirement is Salesforce-first Activity Capture plus Conversation Intelligence, with AI field updates (MEDDIC, SPICED, BANT) written back to native Salesforce objects. No—if you rely on VoIP phone-call capture, SMS capture, AI role-play training (Gong AI Trainer), or sales engagement sequencing (Gong Engage), which Weflow doesn't support today.
How hard is it to migrate from Gong to Weflow?
Weflow imports your existing Gong recording library as part of a rip-and-replace. Technical setup takes 30–45 minutes. Most teams reach time-to-value in 1–3 weeks depending on Salesforce field mapping complexity and rollout scope.
Does Weflow work inside Salesforce?
Weflow is a separate web application with a Chrome extension—not a Salesforce UI overlay. It syncs bi-directionally with Salesforce in real time and writes into native Salesforce objects (Task, Event, EmailMessage, custom objects), so all data is queryable and reportable in standard Salesforce tools.
Is Weflow "real" conversation intelligence or just AI summaries?
Weflow provides full conversation intelligence: 98-language transcription, clips and playlists, topics/trackers with retroactive crawl, coaching scorecards (1–5 rating), conversation analytics, Ask Weflow AI, a 250–350+ prompt library, and AI follow-up emails. The differentiator vs. Gong is that Weflow outputs are operationalized in Salesforce—for example, AI Field Updater populates MEDDIC fields on the Opportunity after every call.
Can Weflow replace Salesforce Einstein Activity Capture (EAC)?
Yes. Weflow logs activities as native Salesforce records (Task, Event, EmailMessage) that are reportable, automatable, and permanent—unlike EAC's "captured but not stored" activity model. Weflow also adds Smart Mapping with Opportunity Contact Role logic, historical backfill up to 24 months, and admin-controlled governance workflows.
Can Weflow auto-fill MEDDIC fields in Salesforce from calls?
Yes. Weflow's AI Field Updater extracts MEDDIC, SPICED, and BANT data from conversations and writes it into Salesforce standard or custom objects. Supported field types: text, picklist, multi-select, number, currency, date, checkbox, formula. Validation rules and field permissions are respected. Lookup relationship fields aren't supported. Gong's AI Data Extractor is limited to 20 AI fields per workspace and recalculates once daily using call data only.
Does Weflow capture phone calls and SMS like Gong?
No. Weflow doesn't capture VoIP phone calls today (Zoom Phone is on the roadmap) and doesn't capture SMS (not on the roadmap). If phone calls or texting represent a major share of customer interactions, Gong is the safer fit for channel coverage.
Is Weflow compliant for regulated industries (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2)?
Weflow holds SOC 2 Type II certification, supports GDPR (Germany HQ, Frankfurt data residency), HIPAA with BAA available, and CCPA, with zero AI data retention. Gong publishes a broader certification set including ISO 27001:2022, PCI DSS, and CSA STAR—relevant if certification breadth is a procurement gate.
